Vocational Case Manager & Vocational Evaluator

Marianne Abadir joined our St. Petersburg Office in 2023 as a Vocational Case Manager and Vocational Evaluator. She received her Master of Arts (MA) degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program from the University of South Florida in December of 2020. She successfully qualified for her Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Credential in November of 2020.usa grace

Marianne Abadir received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. During this time, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) helping children diagnosed with Autism learn to engage in ADL’s, problem solving, stress tolerance, and transferable skills for future employment endeavors.

After graduating with her Bachelor's degree, she moved into her master's program for Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (CRMHC) at the University of South Florida (USF). She engaged in the Vocational Rehabilitation track. Within this program Marianne had the opportunity to take specialized courses to prepare for her CRC Certification, and her career in Vocational Rehabilitation. Marianne was a Graduate Student Intern for a substance abuse facility, Tampa Crossroads. She conducted individual Client Therapy Sessions, prepared Treatment Plans and ran in Group Counseling Sessions. When Marianne Abadir transitioned into a full-time employee, she became a Drug Court Liaison. She was the point of contact for receiving referrals, and giving recommendations to the court for the client’s care.

Between 2022 and 2023 Marianne worked with a research team, Facilitated Re-entry Interventions Subsequent to Brain Injury (FRISBI). The Team was created in collaboration with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), and USF. Through this experience Marianne Abadir was able to work with children with brain injuries who have completed their stay with the DJJ and work on building skills and goals to help reduce the rate of recidivism.

Marianne Abadir was born and raised in Dunedin, Florida. In her spare time Marianne enjoys spending time outside whether it be for a run, a walk on the causeway, or hanging out by the pool. Marianne enjoys comedy shows and reading books for fun.
